Do you not know basic economics?

Every part of that $2000 item had to be produced with 50% more energy costs.

It is not just the FINAL leg of delivery that sees has the increase, it is the entire manufacturing process. From the workers who need to be paid more to the cost of each part made.

This $2000 item probably now costs more like $2500.

>>The Founding Father’s dream is dead!!<<

Monumental fiscal mismanagement up in D.C. and both sides of the aisle are to blame...leftist and globalist.

Wait till interest rates rise a percentage or two. Servicing the national debt will rise as well, creating an even larger deficit gap. Borrowing on just about everything will begin to slow, causing recessionary pressures.

We have a bunch of corrupt retards running this country and have for decades. They only care about their own pockets.

Just stare at the national debt clock for a spell...it’ll spook the hell into ya.

Why does anyone listen to Bank of America?
They are never correct in their “predictions”.
A couple of years ago everyone was quoting the idiots after BofA said gold was going to $3,000 per oz the next year.

I made the same inflation prediction after OBiden stole the election.

In the meantime, people aren’t making more, so the middle class will keep shrinking.

Yes, rising fuel costs will noticeably inflate the majority of most frequently purchased, lower priced products like groceries and cheap hardlines. The costs of drivers are up, and there’s already terrible inflation in other necessities like building materials.

Some of the import items are held up at ports. There’s a rumor from sales reps for importers, that exporters overseas are holding out for higher prices on some of their products while blaming overseas epidemic lockdowns (not happening for weeks). Looks like some of those foreign exporters are trying to expand their currency’s reach and maybe even raise it.

I’m guessing stagflation with higher interest rates before long, but I don’t know.

Some lower level retail employees are making more with some companies in the States here, but the pressure on them is heavier with frequent changes in management systems, a harder push to do more in less time, etc.—all while wearing masks through long shifts, getting vaccinated, bits of “wokeness” training and so on. More lifting, faster, with fewer cashiers and employees shifting between departments daily. Newer employees come and go pretty fast, with many of the older, slower, sicker or sloppier ones dropping out.

And they’re not making much more—only a little more.

The media will ignore this. Between inflation and the Maricopa County audit the dollar should be destroyed but then again the media will ignore it all. Nothing to see here.

The inflation rate, in our future, could make the rates of Argentina and Brazil in the 90’s look minor. Everyone will be effected, especially we fixed income folks. This could be the event that insures that a Democrat will never be elected to any office in the future.
Might be worth it? NO WAY. But, stay tuned.

Did you not read your own posts?

You said this "Transportation costs are a significant factor in cost of goods sold."

Which is NOT true.

But then again to bean counting LOSER AMERICAN STUPID GLOBALIST DOOR MAT economists a .1% cost is significant.

I agree that the cost of fuel has a small marginal impact. But most factories run on electricity produced by nat. gas and coal so fossil fuels play a tiny role in the cost of production. So again the AMERICAN economist is has it wrong.

You think Transportatons and energy costs are NOT a significant portion of the costs of good sold?

Really?

OK clearly you are just too ignorant to know anything.

And you think I am a bean counter globalist?

Your brain is not working- you should get that checked.

I am a Physicist and Computer Systems engineer. And we ALWAYS have to take into consideration energy and transportation costs.

“Cost of good sold” is an accounting term. It is the total of all expenses required to make a product. If “Sales Price” is less than “Cost of Goods Sold” you are losing money.

So the question is- What do you do for a living that makes you so brilliant? Your child-like intellect and name-calling responses are creating a toxic environment.

It is one of many costs. One of the most insignificant costs. Look at our 12,000 mile supply chain from China. You know China the COMMUNIST country Free Traitors™ so sold us out to.

I am a software developer and an engineer by degree.
