When Can We Expect That Apology From ‘Biden Republicans’?
Issues & Insights ^ | 4 May 2012 | Editorial Board

n the run-up to the 2020 elections, we were bombarded with stories about Republicans who were not only opposed to Donald Trump’s reelection but were actively campaigning on behalf of Joe Biden.

These Republicans didn’t just express disdain for Trump, they sang Biden’s praises, calling him a uniter, a reasonable centrist, an honest man, someone who’d reach across the aisle “to get things done.” Now, after Biden’s first 100 days in office, we can see how well those promises have held up.

Our judgment in three words: Not. At. All.

Biden is governing as the most leftist president in history. He has shunned Republicans at every turn. He’s attacked the U.S. as racist. He’s been caught in flagrant lies. And so on.

So let’s see what exactly those “Republicans for Biden” were promising that a vote or Biden would produce. And let’s compare those with what the news tells us is happening now.

“I’m sure there are Republicans and independents who couldn’t imagine crossing over to support a Democrat. They fear Joe may turn sharp left and leave them behind. I don’t believe that because I know the measure of the man. It’s reasonable, faithful, respectful.” — John Kasich

Sorry, John, but those fears were perfectly justified as Biden quickly shed any pretense of centrism to “go big” with trillions of dollars in new government programs. In fact, the leftist “mainstream” media are falling over themselves with glee over how liberal he’s proven to be.

They are political heretics. Swamp creatures who live high on the hog inside the beltway on government lard.

They should be castigated as such, but sadly we live in a mediocracy and the media decides who is relevant, who speaks for the average GOP voter, and who has a message that fits the media narrative.

Most of these guys could not and would not be elected to any office in red state America, but they are considered men of importance and substance inside the beltway.

Our nation’s capital is completely out of touch with average America and these self-serving parasites are exhibit #1.

Never gonna happen.

Two facts regarding the 'Biden Republicans':

1. They hate the Republican Base

and yet

2. They demand it's fealty.

Two facts regarding the 'Biden Republicans'

One fact above all regarding so-called Biden Republicans (never-Trumpers, RINOs, etc.) is that they are not Republicans at all and never were. They are Democrats disguised as Republicans.

” When Can We Expect That Apology From ‘Biden Republicans’?”

The DC Swamp and Deep State are firmly in control of the Republic now and all the Republicans can do now is what they are best at: Send us $$$$ and we promise to be good.

"They are Democrats disguised as Republicans.

They definitely aren't Republicans.

They don't fit into today's Democrat Party either.

In the case of people like Romney, Bush, and Cheney, who consider political power to be their birthright, I consider them as Monarchists.

They actually are Democrats. Perhaps not as extreme left as many Dems these days, but they are more at home with most Dem policies than Republican/conservative. Years ago, the late Paul Tsongas spearheaded something called The Third Wave. I think Romney, Bush, Cheney, Kasich and that ilk probably think they are Third Wave.

"Paul Tsongas spearheaded something called The Third Wave."

I think you may be referring to Third Way political philosophy, which has it's roots in European Socialism:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_Way

In today's Democrat Party, Paul Tsongas would be considered a right wing extremist.
