Truth is a first learned lesson for children. No one can win a person to Christ by lies. Just loving them in the name of Jesus will do more good than any other method. That is Gods way and the best way.
It’s so obvious in this case that it is wrong to lie about who you are in order to convert people to Jesus. But in my neighborhood in America, the same thing goes on. Churches use contemporary music, fog lamps, light shows and whatever they think will attract people to get them in the door. I think a lot of that is deceptive. I’m not talking about those items, but the motivation behind using these tactics to appeal, not to Jesus and his teachings, but rather to hipster lifestyle sensibilities. “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
