Given that it’s the New York Times, it probably means that most US subpopulations achieved herd immunity several months ago.
Exactly. 1 of 2 IS HERD IMMUNITY.
Ha. Exactly my thought too. RECALL THAT FAUCI ADMITTED THAT HE LIED ABOUT THE PERCENTAGE IT TAKES TO REACH HERD IMMUNITY. Freepers know this right?
“Given that it’s the New York Times, it probably means that most US subpopulations achieved herd immunity several months ago.”
Good one. Witty, and insightful.
As vaccinations and natural infections continue to accumulate, how could we not reach herd immunity thresholds? It is not calculus, just simple addition.
The performance curves are becoming well known. We can see the tracks in Israel, the UK, the USA and elsewhere.
We are entering the window of growing herd immunity effects now, and as you point out, subpopulations are likely further along already, such as areas that were highly infected early on, like NYC.
