In the old days those firms would have been classified as “agents of the government”, and thus subject to the same rules as the government itself.

But like I said, that was in the old days. I would not expect any judge to see it that way now. Because terrorism.

It’s kinda like with the old Soviet Union. Purge after purge was carried out against imaginary “counter-revolutionary behavior”.
