Agree with you completely but I would go further: Trump is one of the few Presidents in our history to speak directly to us, the people. FDR pretended to, and Ronald Reagan (Blessings upon him) often spoke to us - but Donald Trump always spoke to us clearly and without any hidden meanings.

I really miss that honesty and clarity from our leadership.

All they had to do was look over the Wall to see that there was a disconnect between reality and what they were being told. That’s why they need world wide communism. Before he went over to The New York Times, Bret Stephens was a columnist for The Wall Street Journal. His columns there (in the early days of the Trump administration) were extremely vitriolic in their hatred of President Trump, as if he was having a competition with George Will over who could outdo the other. I never knew what the reason for Stephens' attitude was. He is Jewish and used to be stationed in Jerusalem. That Trump's policies were helpful to Israel apparently did not factor into his calculations.
