Problem with the entire 4 years was, President Trump was only going to appoint and get confirmed someone suitable to the criminals in the Senate and Deep State. So many folks want to rant about how he picked the wrong people. They’re right. But he had a tightly controlled list to pick from. Anyone not on that list was going nowhere.
I think Pompeo was the only outlier in that, the DS and the Senate probably thought they had a loyal foot soldier who then turned out to be more loyal to President Trump.
