I think Pompeo was the only outlier in that, the DS and the Senate probably thought they had a loyal foot soldier who then turned out to be more loyal to President Trump.

Pompeo is the real deal. He has my respect. He has Deep State background but remained loyal to President Trump. You would think other guys would wake up and do the same thing. But that's not what happened here.

Pompeo was famously in on the leaked Trump - GA GOP call while VP Pence was AWOL. I found that very odd. What the heck is the SOS doing on that call when the VP wasn’t? I suppose he was just about the only loyal cabinet member Trump had.
