Texas special election: Polls close in 23-candidates race for House seat

Polls have closed in the 23-person North Texas race to replace U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, a Republican who died earlier this year after contracting Covid-19.

The race to represent Texas' 6th Congressional district, the first hotly-contested special election of President Joe Biden's term, is a jungle primary featuring 11 Republicans, including Wright's widow, 10 Democrats and two others.

If no candidate clears 50 percent of the vote, the race will head to a runoff featuring the top two. Polls closed at 8 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. CT.

Jana Lynne Sanchez dem 6,332 14%

Wright was endorsed by DJT himself. At least that rat turd Woods didn't get a smell. He's proof positive just because someone was in the military doesn't make them a good guy. He didn't even place in the top spots - that's where his anti Trump crap got him.

There is a good chance for a GOP vs GOP general and a lock out of the RATs.

Either way, the GOP has more than 60% of the reported vote here (better than November).

Warning: Jake Elzey is just as much as a Deep State RINO, if not WORSE, than Woods. Virtually tied with Wright and therefore Wright’s runoff opponent, if Elzey gets in it will be a victory for the Deep State, because they will have de-Trumped one seat.
