Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan have almost doubled the size of their estate in Hawaii, purchasing a neighboring 600 acre plot for $53 million in a move likely to further enrage his island critics.
The Facebook founder, who began buying up chunks of the island in September 2014, added the additional land on March 19, according to Pacific Business News.
Kauai is the fourth largest of Hawaii's eight main islands, and home to 67,000 people.

What’s good for me and not for thee - Zuckerberg
Kauai people should do more than start stupid internet petitions
Really bad investment. The rising seas will eat that up in about 9.74 years.
I hope the locals RAGE goes far beyond mere administrative gestures.
FUMZ & his live-in Chinese handler.
Mfl
Yellow Teefs. Another Red China puppet like the one treasonously occupying the White House.
I guess a haole has different classes in Hawaii. The rich one’s get a pass.
Most people can make do with 600 acres.

Let’s sacrifice him to the angry volcano gods. Make millions of Hawaiians happy, Zuck. I’ll supply the BBQ sauce.
Yes & no
There’s alot of Hawaiians to whom haole money doesn’t mean shit.
If he keeps up his trip they’re going to be swimming in his pools.
No matter how much kala he has he will always be just another mainland haole .
With zero roots ( or real rights) here .
As distinguished from kamaaina haoles , who have earned , and deserve what they have built , or get.
They all have BEACHFRONT PROPERTY all the while saying that they will be underwater!! HYEAH....right!
So he married a Chinese woman.
Things are starting to make sense.
Hawaii had better put some limits on how much property a person can own (if feasible), otherwise two or three jerks will own the state.
All the elitists are buying up the land because they know hyperinflation is near.
Big deal. I was pretty mad when he bought Washington DC too.
They need progressive property taxes. One acre $100, 2 acres $1,000, 3 acres 10,000 and so on.
We visited Kauai in 2016. At that time he had already pissed off plenty of residents with his huge property acquisition. He managed to ‘work around’ the historic claims of indigenous people on portions of his desired land. Money talks. The other thing that had people really riled was that he wasn’t satisfied to own property. He also had to build fences around it that blocked the view of the sea for others. Kauai isn’t a very big place. For him to acquire such large pieces of it is truly arrogant and despicable. There have been plenty of rich people owning property on Kauai over the years, but the others have been satisfied to own a pretty home and some land to surround it. They didn’t need to monopolize the beauty.
Hawaii is a democrat socialist paradise and zuck has invested a bill gates portion of his entity in it.
What if Elon Musk had done the same thing in the same place ...
Imagine Space X having it's own island platform just off the coast of the USA.
