What is frightening and anger-inducing about all this is the Left's insistence, much in the same vein as Orwell's O'Brien in 1984 who is intent on making Winston actually believe that '2 + 2 = 5'), that we fully believe and play along with this mental illness.

• You can't just mumble it and say the words to get them to leave you alone (part of why we are where we are)
  
  
• You cannot simply stay silent (hence the "silence is violence" idiocy)
  
  
• And you most DEFINITELY cannot even respectfully disagree.

You MUST fully believe, enthusiastically embrace, and even celebrate this insanity.

THAT is what I find fundamentally repellent about all this.

In the past, you could have said with a shrug:

"Look, what you do with your own life is your business. I'm not interested in getting it on with a guy saying he is a girl who is a Lesbian who rebels by wanting to have non-lesbian sex with a guy..."

and sane people would understand the insanity inherent in people that engage in those mental gymnastics expecting others to accept it and play along.

After reading this thread I checked out Turned A. Page and in the video clip of Page with Oprah, Page appeared to be a sad and rather sickly person. If they remake Oliver they’ve got one of Fagin’s boys right there.
