I have long believed that Eisenhower saw how the corporate/government liason of fascism was little different from our military/industrial liaison. He was prescient.

Reagan - Grace Commission report’s finding that not a nickle of IRS 1040 income goes to any (ANY!) government program.
And much of Trump’s statements has some element of recognition of how deep the Deep State is.
Since JFK, at minimum, both Bushes, 0bama, Clintoons are all part of the Deep State Cabal, effectively CEO of the Corporation of Corruption based in the District of Corruption.
