Why do you not support the filibuster?
I think it is a valuable tool.
Anything that stops the government from making more and more ‘legislation’ is fine with me.
There have been long debates on free republic over the years, and articles from both sides posted.
My basic reason is that I consider it a covert amending of the Constitution.
For example: what if the senate rules had an addition that says that the presence of the VP counts in a quorum determination?
