So in other words, you were not bitten by a suspected rabid animal?
You simply got shots just as a basic precaution for travel. Great!

In my case...I actually was attacked by a rabid animal. I received prophylactic shots to be safe and thankfully went on with life as usual.
I did not require dozens of shots in my abdomen or any of the other treatments (breathlessly) being described in this thread.
