I hope he had a license and proper trigger locks and so forth on the gun and it was properly registered because otherwise this man is a danger to society and belongs in jail. In fact, he was likely infected by rabies. I don’t think rabid individuals should be carrying firearms. And... was it a semi-automatic assault pistol? Just common sense gun laws - that’s all we ask.
I hate to say this, but the hero/husband will probably now lose friends amongst some of his neighbors. There may even be those that begin to watch him in an effort to file bogus reports with the police.
