Ian has a knack for hitting the lyrical bullseye.
Have loved the band since the mid 70s.
Lucky enough to see them 3 times.
Great memories.
:)
That’s cool.
My last name is Irish but finnegan is a pseudonym.
Bummer but I’m glad he had a long life.
That is true. If Neal and Buzz had a problem that wouldn’t let them come back and dock with the Command Module, Mike would have to bring it back alone, which would be awful. Glad none of them had to do that.
One of the little known stories that could have cost them the mission occurred when they suited up to go onto the surface of the moon. The ascent engine was fired by setting a series of circuit breakers. The panel was mounted near where they exited and in the process one of them broke off the end of the breaker.
Armstrong said over the radio that his “watch had stopped” which was a code phrase for “we have a really bad problem.” A lot of hearts skipped a beat in Mission Control.
Aldrin looked at the problem and figured out that they could poke a pen in the hole and trip the circuit breaker.
Ian is still the largest producer of Scottish Salmon. He is an industry all aside from the music. Quite a fellow.
Here’s one am sure you know... Farm on the Freeway—
“Nine miles of two strand topped with barbed wire, linked by the father for the son. ...Good shelter down there on the valley floor down by where the sweet stream runs...
Now they might give me compensation... that’s not what I’m chasing, I was a rich man before yesterday. Now all I have got is a check and a pickup truck, when I left my farm on the freeway...”
Funny- Tull was named by management after agricultural brit reformer Jethro Tull-— Ian grew to appreciate growing and producing things for people.... produce, and make money. Long way from jimmah cahtah mr. peanut and his fake solar farm meeting with the desperate joebama today (two mindless idiot dems scheming to retain control of ... us).
I thought he sold out Strathaird when he sold the Kilmarie estate to the John Muir group?
Glad if he didn’t.
Funny how things work out.
Alice Cooper makes far more money in real estate than concerts.
Savvy old goats.
Crest of A Knave WAS better than Metallica and Rock Island...surely did
/still a catfish, rising
;)
Fair warning...I could talk Tull all day and night.
:D
s’all good. will check back. Minstrel Boy has Gone ..to work.
