The fact that the court has done nothing about it tells you they are not that concerned.
There are a few opinions out of this court that find rules not followed, then go on to criticize and demand correction as if correction is necessary. These opinions also say there is no 4th amendment violation, so apparently corrections aren’t really necessary.
I think the whole FISA thing is make work. It has no honestly useful function. Government will snoop without regard to any supposed legal barrier, and the most any court will do is toss evidence from time to time. Meanwhile, the courts feel obligated to gin up a story to make the people believe a falsehood, that the courts are protective of privacy.
But they just hired someone from the DOJ who was directly responsible for the abuses. See they have done something.
