I have said it since it was clear this was not Bubonic Plague:
If this was a deadly pandemic where even 5-10% of people died, you wouldn’t have to bribe people to quarantine, wear masks, or get vaccinations.
People would choose to do those things. Even more, you might have people holed up in their homes with guns to keep strangers away.
Yep, in a real pandemic people are scared because they actually see lots of people dying. Too many people to even have funerals for them all.
If this was a real pandemic, we would be digging mass graves by now.
