I generally support the police. Even go out of my way to tell them when I encounter one on patrol. That even happened today. But I despise bad police. If this story is true (didn’t watch the video yet), those cops should be fired and charged with elder abuse amongst other crimes. JMHO of course.

Out of the tree cops reviewing the video, one proclaimed he “loved it” while the other two said they “hated it”. That correlates with one being suspended and two assigned to desk duty. The female cop was cringing as she watched the video. There's no good reason for being that rough with the woman unless she had a weapon.

Having lost a number of family members to dementia I would ask “Where was the family?”

There comes a point in time where their mobility needs to be curtailed. That time is well before they start picking up things and walking out of stores.
