People in India are dying in the streets amid a catastrophic surge of COVID-19 infections — prompting an oxygen shortage and mass cremations to deal with the overwhelming amount of bodies.
“The virus is swallowing our city’s people like a monster,” said Mamtesh Sharma, an official at the Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat crematorium in Bhopal.
Sharma said the unprecedented crush of bodies has forced them to skip individual ceremonies and rituals that are Hindu traditions.

Honestly, if we have over a half million deaths, I'm surprised India doesn't have a million.
The current population of India is 1,390,790,274 as of Monday, April 19, 2021, based on Worldometer elaboration of the latest United Nations data. India 2020 population is estimated at 1,380,004,385 people at mid year according to UN data. India population is equivalent to 17.7% of the total world population.

India has been taking jobs from China. India was slated to be the new China, luring US companies. China’s putting a stop to that, potentially. I wouldn’t put it past the demonic communists.

The Indian govt is not giving out the real death numbers.
In the US, every death is investigated and a cause assigned. In India, that only happens in places that can afford to do so. The rest are simply dumped into mass graves or burned. Their death counts are massively low.

From the pictures I have seen it’s bad. Did you watch the video? There are dead people all over the sidewalks.
They'll just chuck the dead ones into the Ganges anyway...
But the cause can be politically manipulated like dying in a motorcycle crash due to COVID.

These sound like scenes from China last Dec-Jan
India and China are not on the best of terms. Heretofore India has been spared the worst of the COVID-19 pandemic. If you worked in Indian intelligence, you might be wondering if that Wusan military bio warfare lab is still functioning and designed variants of COVID-19 more infectious to the Indian genotype. May be far fetched but still would have to wonder.
Well, India has a very shaky health care system even in good times, and it didn’t take much to completely overwhelm the hospitals that they do have.
They can’t even get oxygen to people, which would save many lives.
Looks like they got hit with a variant that is more transmissible, leading to a spike that simply overwhelmed their system.
