Agreed, the manufacturer will tell you the level of protection each mask provides.
Mask’s do not provide protection against a virus.

Some Surgeons wear masks to stop incoming splatter.
Some Surgeons do not wear masks. They cannot risk their glasses fogging up during surgery.

This notion “my wearing a mask is protecting you” is pure unalloyed nonsense.
