These unskilled blue and white-collar (retail) jobs were the ones typically with high turnover, terrible working conditions and extremely low-pay.
Maybe if these jobs paid more than minimum wage, gave 40 hours a week instead of 29.5 a week...
Even at $12.32/hr (Colorado minimum wage), 25 hours a week is less than $300 a week after taxes....
Sure unskilled lower tier jobs came back (or never stopped hiring) during the lockdowns.
Let’s see when the career-level skilled blue-collar and white-collar jobs come back. You know jobs in the concerts, music, theater, movies, cinema, convention, events, sports, travel, tourism, hotel and dine-in restaurant industry... that industry is slowly starting back up. So let’s see.
Or you expect the 17 to 20 million estimated skilled unemployed in this sector to take an unskilled starter job once again, just to be “employed”?
