Don't think you're going to escape this without any pain just because you don't eat red meat.

John Kerry, Biden's climate change envoy, just told the climate summit crowd that we need to eliminate ALL CO2 from our atmosphere.

There goes the food for all of your vegetarian diet.

You don't eat meat, you don't eats plants, you're dead.

These Loonies on the Left are mentally retarded.

The good news is that even if human stopped burning every source of carbon dioxide to include wood or grasses or doing the level of CO2 in the air would stay above 150ppm for thousands of years. The oceans and the bicarbonate balance with the atmosphere would keep the levels above 150 ppm or higher until the levels of bicarbonate precipitating out as carbonates via calcarous ooze or corals shifts the bicarb equilibrium state. 150ppm is important that’s the level that below it C4 grasses die off. Nearly all of the human food chain is C4 grasses. Rice, wheat, corn, oats, barley, rye, sorghum all are C4 grasses.

John Kerry, Biden's climate change envoy, just told the climate summit crowd that we need to eliminate ALL CO2 from our atmosphere.

He says eliminate all emissions. There are three problems with that claim. 1) we can't eliminate all emissions because we would freeze in the dark, be stuck at home, etc because even electric cars have emissions. 2) the rest of the world go on emitting so our "sacrafice" will be in vain. 3) it's not true, he's not proposing drawing down CO2 (eliminating CO2 from the atmosphere), just going neutral.

Humanity is not going to eliminate ALL CO2 from our atmosphere. Not even SOME CO2. For the next 100 years or so humanity is not going to eliminate ANY CO2 from our atmosphere. Why? Humanity needs fossil, simple as that. That's why there are 1000 coal plants being built right now, in Africa, south Asia, in China and India. More outside of China than inside, although the Chinese are building a lot of the plant outside of China.

According to my calculations if humanity got to the point of lowering emissions by about 33% from current levels, atmospheric CO2 would stop rising. For comparison during the pandemic last year we managed to lower emissions by about 8%. Didn't have any effect on the atmosphere where CO2 kept rising.

Considering the rise in agricultural productivity from higher CO2, and the fact that the CO2 prevents the mile thick glaciers from covering Chicago, the CO2 than mankind has created is a very good thing. Mankind survived the full glacial period 20,000 years ago, but just barely. It is indeed insance to demonize CO2.
