The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) should be held accountable for its coverup and misfeasance which exacerbated the CCP virus pandemic, according to Florida’s Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis.
"At a minimum, I believe this is something that likely escaped from that lab. They knew. They covered it up. They didn’t say anything for a long time. They didn’t provide access,” DeSantis told The Epoch Times on April 1.
“They knowingly made that decision, and I think probably cost a lot of lives in the process. So they absolutely should be held accountable.” ... During an interview with The Epoch Times on April 1, DeSantis accused the CCP of promoting its draconian lockdowns to other nations as an essential mitigation measure, leading nations like Italy to destroy their economies. DeSantis also faulted some of the top health officials in the United States, including Anthony Fauci, for blindly adopting the communist regime’s lockdown model.
“I think the people like Fauci were relying on the Communist Party of China for some of this stuff. You can’t trust what comes out of the Communist Party of China,” DeSantis said. “I think it was a huge mistake to give them any validity in terms of what they were doing.” ...

I notice the top one there is literally some guy’s blog, Fitsnews.com, which surely is not a conservative mainstream well known source. They don’t even have an About page, but the last line of the linked page literally says “Follow me on blogorama.” Who are they?
The Epoch Times, however, where I posted from, definitely is. Trump is a big fan and has said so. And it was timely, national newsworthy, and Desantis going after Fauci for being in bed with China sure seems Feont Page newsworthy.
So what is the standard? Or did some qooks report it as abuse?

DeSantis appears to be the real deal and his record supports it.
He also has disgust and disdain for the MSM, something that I am starting to believe is necessary for any contender to possess. The GOPe is still full of hopefuls who don’t seem to comprehend that the media hates them and wants to make them look like fools. They are “Swamp lovers” and creatures of DC.
Those of us in flyover country want an outsider.
Ron Desantis is partially correct.
SARS-CoV-2 did not escape from a lab, and there is no scientific evidence that shows that it is anything other than a bat virus that crossed over into humans. Its most likely route was through the wet markets which are still used extensively in China.
What the Chinese government did, early on, is try to hide the outbreak (because bad things like pandemics cannot arise in perfect Communist societies). They had a window to contain the outbreak, but instead persecuted doctors who tried to raise the alarm. And that early obfuscation and refusal to take action is what the Chicoms should be held accountable for.
The virologist who won the Nobel for the AIDs virus very much disagrees with that excuse put out by the Chinese. He said no way it was a naturally occuring virus, it was man made in a lab. Also, there was a journal in India that published their evidence that it was man made. Lo and behold, they soon were forced to retract the article. In response, the French Nobel winner said, paraphrased, that he was old and already had an established reputation and had no need to retract his statements like others who had been forced to.

His experience as JAG for the SEALS gives him the grea5 ability to argue with concise facts to reporters who try to take him down. He’s very good at shredding them on camera. Fun to watch!

Yes, it did, either by accident or deliberately. And Ron knows it. Most of us do. And Ron also knows about Fauci secretly funding Gain Of Function research on coronaviruses by that lab.
The virus was a natural one, but modified by the Wuhan Lab to be more contagious (and possibly more deadly) in humans. And Fauci funded it.
Fauci knows his secret is getting out, too. He couldn’t hide the money trail well enough, even with the cutout org he laundered the cash through.
And Ron Desantis knows all this, and is starting to talk about it. But like the well trained JAG officer he was, he waits until he can back it all up with evidence before making accusations.
And china will do anything to keep him out of the oval office.

There’s no evidence that it came through the wet markets. I’v always felt that it was a bat virus that the Chinese were studying in a lab, maybe they might have tweaked with it a little, and a accident occurred.
I hope that he calls for holding the guy who sponsored the gain-of-function experiment at the Wuhan laboratory that resulted in the COVID-19 pandemic accountable too.
That guy is, of course, Anthony Fauci.
He is currently being portrayed as a hero because we are living in an Orwellian dystopia.

I'm not sure he'll run again either, but Mrs. Trump was a good American the first time, who put aside her personal interest for the sake of the country, and no doubt she would again if it came to that.
Either way...at least Hillary's not POTUS. :)
Sadly, DeSantis won’t be elected. 2020 brought an end to the republic. Move to a red state (my wife and I just moved to Oklahoma from the People’s Republic of Oregon) and prepare.
Escaped from the lab...or was released.
