They’re going to riot no matter what. Acquittal, they’ll riot; conviction, they’ll riot just like they do when their sports team wins a championship. Free stuff is a siren call.

Police warned businesses to board up their windows and they did ahead of the weekend of the election.

Well, we seem to have survived the first day and 1/2 without major national rioting. I was at work in 1968 after MLK was murdered. We were all sent home early, and my husband and I left town to stay with my parents because the looters were running down our street. I think there are enough activists who really want to keep things under control, that on the whole they will be successful with the conviction verdict. I know there are white student riots in my area when some college sports teams win.
