Whatever decision the jury makes, there is likely to be another trial. There is probably no way this was decided with undue influence.

There is no way that Chauvin could receive a fair trial anywhere in the United States.

I sense that Chauvin has no chance in the Minnesota appellate courts, and the US Supreme Court will not grant a writ of certiorari to the Minnesota Supreme Court.

Chauvin’s only hope of ever seeing the outside world again would be in a habeas corpus proceeding initiated in a federal district court, where his claims of deprivation of federal civil rights would be heard. Unlike the Minnesota appellate courts, there will be actual conservative judges in the 8th Circuit who will get his case someday.

I wonder what the over/under number is on when he’ll get murdered in prison (or commit suicide).
