Just days before President Biden kicks off a climate summit with world leaders, the United Nations World Meteorological Organization released a report Monday warning that “time is fast running out” to keep global temperatures in check.
Titled “State of the Global Climate 2020,” the report finds that concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere continued to climb in 2020, despite lockdowns imposed to slow the spread of COVID-19.
Last year, the report notes, was the third warmest on record, worsening the melting of glaciers and sea ice, the acidification of the world’s oceans and the severity of wildfires and hurricanes.

Right?! It is April 20th, and we have a FREEZE WARNING tonight for parts of the DFW metroplex, including my place out northwest of Ft. Worth!
I remember it snowing as late as Easter day in Arlington in the late 90s. I remember it snowing in Dallas as early as a week before Thanksgiving in the late 70s.
This whole “the weather is getting wacky”, so it MUST BE GLOBULL WARMING schtick has been wrong since the global freeze warnings of the late 70s and early 80s!

There is no abyss. No one has shown me that some global warming will be harmful at all. All they talk about is warming caused by harmless CO2. I do worry about pollution and the accumulation of waste products, though.
The “climate change” narrative is a good pairing with the Coronavirus. They make for good horror drama.

I mean, to be completely fair, the climate IS changing. That change has absolutely NOTHING to do with humanity, but it is changing. We’re going to see famine and pestilence in the next 100 years or so thanks to plunging temperatures. We should be getting ready for a big chill, but we’re working to implement power generators that won’t be worth the screws holding them together.
