China has more ships than the US and these include real warships. China's Third Aircraft carrier should be operational in 2023 or 2024. China has two Type 075 Landing Helicopter Dock (similar to our Tara class) in service and one fitting out, which should be ready next year. The PRC has 6 active Type 071 amphibious transport dock ships and two fitting out. It has 32 LST and 31 LSM amphibious ships. Two Type 055 destroyers are in service and 6 are in trials or fitting out.
They will be able to invade next year

And add to all that thousands of “fishing vessels” sent to Taiwan with approx. 100 troops each.
If they make it to the beach for the invasion and Battle of Taiwan, great.
If they are sunk in the ocean, great in two ways:
1. A cheap target caused one irreplaceable torpedo or missile to be expended, using them all up, and
2. “Excess” Chinese males will not return to become a social problem.
