At Beijing, Xi Jinping is doubtlessly assessing the moment. Surely, he must ask himself, “Is the window most open now to conquer Taiwan?” Seizing Taiwan is a critical step in achieving the PRC’s midrange strategic aim of imposing its hegemony in East Asia. China’s longer-term aspiration is to overtake the United States as global leader.
For Xi, that window may be optimal for just 45 months and counting. That’s what remains in Joe Biden’s term. Lately, the PRC has been aggressively menacing Taiwan. Admiral Philip Davidson, commander of U.S. Indo-Pacific forces, is persuaded that Xi is accelerating efforts to surpass the United States.
“Taiwan is clearly one of their ambitions before that. And I think the threat is manifest during this decade, in fact, in the next six years,” he told a US Senate armed services committee hearing. [italics added]
Admiral Davidson’s political circumspection may stop him from further speculation. January 20, 2025 may be Xi’s cutoff date.
From Xi’s perspective, is a war more winnable now with the U.S. and its regional allies or in some future time? The opportunity to exploit American vulnerabilities may not occur soon enough again for the PRC, for many reasons.
A key reason is that the United States is saddled with an exceptionally weak president, an old man, frail in mind and body… a man who Xi and his cronies surely disdain.

The United States will get weaker and weaker every day that Biden (or probably any ‘rat) is in office. Furthermore, times of transition are optional to attack the US... very much like Bin Laden did after 8 years of Clinton negligence turned into the GWB transition. There’s no rush. It’s only getting better for China for 4, maybe 8 years.

Let’s not delude ourselves. Even if President Trump returns after 2024, the damage done as we speak by the Traitors (foreign and domestic) occupying our government will likely be permanent. We’ll do what’s necessary to rebuild the homeland and deal with the Traitors but the post-WW2 empire in Europe and Asia is gone.

1. CCP China won’t care how it looks, only that they will force Taiwan to fly their flag.
2. CCP China has a history of using human wave attacks to get rid of undesirables. Most of the human wave assaults during the Korean War were made by former nationalist troops the CCP wanted to get rid of.
3. Millions died during famines brought by “The Great Leap Forward” in the 50s. The CCP never cared, has never been brought to account, Chinese in China don’t know about it, can’t discuss it, it has disappeared. Ditto the Cultural Revolution 60s to 70s. Memory holed.
4. A seaborn human wave assault by thousands of expendable “fishing boats” on Taiwan means most of the deaths will go down under the waves, unseen. No matter how many thousands die in The Battle of Taiwan, the CCP won’t care. We’re back to those millions of “excess” Chinese males.

Why would they attack now instead of in ten or more years?
Currently they have achieved only economic parity.
Given more time, they should surpass us economically. Then they will be able to achieve their goals with pressure and not by triggering a massive war.
There is a rush. Conquest takes time, and USA has relatively rapid turnover of leadership. Our mentally ill President may be replaced at any time by someone more capable and decisive - and someone who had zero support, so will be running scared & decisive. There’s at best 6 months of Biden, the best time to coordinate multiple conquests (with Russia & others) to flummox USA with a multi-front conflict. After that is at most 3 years (maybe 7 but unlikely) of weak Kamala. Come 2025 any conquests best be completed so a strong leader (Trump?) cannot interfere.
The time for world dictatorial conquest is now. I’ve long wondered when tyrants would coordinate their expansion, and now the time and two major powers seem keen on doing exactly that - watch for others piling on the bandwagon while Mr Malarkey fondles women in public.
Oh, and remember: come 2023, the President (be it Biden, Harris, or Pelosi) will likely face a decidedly uncooperative opposition Congress that understands importance of global power & treaties, empowered to declare war.
Expect Taiwan and Ukraine be fully assimilated by end of 2022.

I agree with almost all you’ve said... multi domain attack, our commie-symp media, et al. I just think that a military (and domestic law enforcement) is still a little bit what Trump left behind. It’ll be 4 to 7 years weaker in 4-7 years, no matter who the incoming president is. Our media, industry, intel community, and academia will be that much more infiltrated and compromised. China doesn’t need another Pearl Harbor style attack to galvanize whatever is left of our alliances.

China’s demographic profile is probably a bigger factor than who is the president of the United States. Because of the one child policy, China will have at least 15 million fewer men age 35 and younger in 10 years. China may need to try for Taiwan soon because their young men become more “precious” every day.
A thought about Kamala Harris . . . China may see her her Indian heritage as an issue. India has 29 million more men aged 20-29 than China now and will have 40 million more than China in 2030.
The USA is not their only problem.
I thought that she would have already replaced him. Something behind the scene must have changed. She has been as quiet as a whore during a church service lately.
