Agreed. He should have downplayed it but he was damned if he did and damned if he didn’t thanks to the U.S. enemedia.

He did take it seriously in the beginning and the DemonRats such as Pelosi did an au contraire. When President Trump started doubting the Fear Porn, then the DemonRats ramped up the pearl clutching.
