For over fifty years, it has been a recurring promise of conservative candidates running for election that they will stand up for our constitutional rights and support the appointment of judges and Supreme Court justices who will uphold the Constitution.
Yet time after time, the left seems to win both ideological and legal battles on monumental issues such as abortion, marriage, gun control, immigration, racial preferences for minorities, and the ever-expanding size and scope of government — no matter what the text of the Constitution actually says.
In The Age of Entitlement: America Since the Sixties, (2020; ISBN 978-1-5011-0689-7) author Christopher Caldwell advances the thesis that the Constitution of 1788 has been effectively nullified by our elites and supplanted with a "new constitution" that originated in, and reflects the values of, the "Civil Rights Era" of the 1960s. Though the civil rights movement began as a reformist movement within the old order, it evolved into a "revolution" that has nearly triumphed over the polity created in the 18th century:

There’s probably not two Republican elected officials in 100 who will stand up to the commie leftist thugs who want to destroy the country (and are doing a pretty thorough job of doing so). When a Pat Buchanan or Steve King tries to stand against the howling leftists, the leftist media do everything they can to destroy them. I don’t know how we can get out of this mess with any semblance of the freedoms under the original Republic intact unless conservative states separate from the leftists and go our own way.
It’s not Reagan or any other President. It’s US the voters who put in place the legislator’s who pandered to the “gimmee sumpin’ for nuttin” crowd so they were assured re election.
It’s been said again and again and it is true each time.

No, it is not. It is what has been selected for us by the Mediacracy.
For at least 50 years, they decided what candidates were allowed to be voted on.
They decided what issues were important, and what was not.
They decided what we should know, and what would be buried or spiked.
People can only make decisions on the information they have.
For 50 years the Mediacracy controlled the vast majority of the information flow.
Things started to change as that dam was breached with talk radio and the Internet.
You stumbled your way to the answer, finally.
I didn’t vote for this, other people did.
I resent being lumped in with them as “we voted for this;” “We” did not.
I did not get the government I, my family and loved ones deserve.
We were outvoted.
He got stabbed in both the back and the chest by those people.
It is hard to discount this opinion:

And it is true that Reagan wasn't faultless in some respects which we well know from the 1986 Immigration and Control Act which Reagan signed into law.
THAT was indeed "kicking the can down the road".
But at least Reagan was addressing economic issues from the other side. Both authors saying that Reagan was paying off entitlements from debt is like saying that drivers are exceeding the 55 MPH speed limit at the Indianapolis 500.
I believe the American Thinker author decides to focus on Reagan for clicks, IMO, even though Caldwell did originate the quotes.

Coolidge maybe. Or maybe we have to go back to Cleveland or Harrison or Garfield (who didn't have enough time to do anything truly dangerous).
This last election was stolen with non-legislative changes to election law, different standards within a state to determine which ballots were “valid”, unobserved “correcting” of ballots (including votes), ballot “harvesting”, voter intimidation, voter bribary, and coordinated late night ballot dumps on election night.
As one who wrote Reagan’s bio I can tell you everything he says about Reagan here in these excerpts are lies.

This is pure BS. I grew up in the "Deep South", and the by far the strongest racism we saw was television images from the North. Particularly in places such as Boston during the school integration era.
In rural W. TN, I never observed a single protest of school integration.

The paleocons and social conservatives were kicked to the curb by the neocons during Reagan's term in office and much of the policy was written by them. So maybe it was not his fault, like it was not Trump's fault for not completing the wall, but Reagan's administration should still get credit for allowing the cancer to metastasize.
The NeoCons and Hawks disowned Reagan after he agreed to meet with Gorby in Rejkjavik.
1) The budget is fixed. NOTHING a Pres can do can significantly cut the budget.
2) We have had these discussions before: I see no evidence over 50 years that high debt/deficits have hurt.
3) Supply side increases the economy relatively more than loss of revenues.
