We wouldn’t be having this discussion if Donald Trump wasn’t such an abysmal judge of character. I lost count of all the people who were ‘terrific’ guys/gals before they plunged the knife in.
Trump was in a cage fight to the death with endless opponents, seen and unseen.
Try it sometime and tell us how it comes out for you.
Happy 20th FR anniversary, BTW - a little early. :)
I somewhat agree with you but I think Americans totally underestimates the level of graft and corruption that has become cultural and normal in D.C. They think our money is theirs and that any money they forgot to steal is a "subsidy" for useless eaters.
If the first coming of Christ was intended by God to clean up D.C. then God would have had to send in Christ for a second coming out of necessity. In fact that book of the Bible would have been named "Either the Greedy F*cks Repent or I Fry Them".
Yes, Trump could have fired Fauci, the top epidemiologist in the Federal government for the last 40 years, and hoped the senate wouldn’t convict him after Nanzi promptly impeached him again for endangering the country in the midst of an epidemic.
Trump didn’t choose Fauci, Fauci was already there.
It does seem like it was a weakness of his, but then again, given what he had to work with.....
It now appears that there was virtually no one who wasn’t corrupted and/or owned who he could trust. The rot went deeper and was far more pervasive that anyone could have imagined.
Turning his entire presidency blindly over to Fauci and Birx was his indeed his fatal mistake. “Two weeks to flatten the curve”, was really “two government hacks to flatten Trump”.
