The international community must draw "clear red lines" with Russia, French President Emmanuel Macron said, including implementing sanctions after any "unacceptable behavior" by Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said, however, that sanctions alone are not sufficient.
In an interview with "Face The Nation" moderator Margaret Brennan, Macron said he "fully" shares Mr. Biden's desire to open dialogue with Russia. However, he said it was important to be clear with Putin "when we are not aligned."

I agree with you, but you and I both know that NATO and specifically Germany and France would not be provoking Russia without the USA being involved....
Way back when in 1941 Germany had a technological edge and probably was outspending Russia significantly and for a year inflicted heavy loses on Russia...
France also had a large army with more tanks than Germany and was overrun in no time...and that included the British as well...
There is a long history of foreign powers underestimating Russia only to get bogged down and suffering a miserable defeat....
All I’m saying is why antagonize Russia is NATO and USA really ready to go to war over Ukraine, I know as an American I could care less about them

Who’s gonna stop them? The Germans? They have ZERO airforce. The French? Russian air power and access denial capabilities are substantial.
France ran out of bombs taking out Ghaddafi. No idea where that 55 billion goes but it’s not toward anything actually useful.
.........why should you/me/we care? The former USSR stood for Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Germany is as Socialist a country as there is on the planet. Germany, France, the EU and the UK spit on America daily. I say let them fight it out. Last I heard Germany LITERALLY had about 6 tanks that were combat ready. Somebody hand Merkel an assault rifle and put her ass on the front line!

They’ll fight to the last Ukrainian. Oh for those Halcyon days when the Russians were pinned down in Afghanistan, being bled to economic death by the Mujahideen.
So they’ll arm and train the Azov Battalion, Right Sector, Svoboda (i.e., the Ukrainian army) - and the Ukrainians will be the cannon fodder to bleed the Russians.
