The United States will continue to support Ukraine irrespective of the change of administration in either country, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
"There are relations between the United States and Ukraine. The presidents can improve these relations, but it is hard to alter the sentiment in general. The United States is well disposed towards Ukraine and gives it support. No matter who becomes the president of the United States or Ukraine, the relations will exist," Zelensky said in an interview with the French media outlet Le Figaro published on the presidential website on Friday.
Zelensky said he could understand the long wait for a phone call with the new U.S. president. "Yes, it has been long. But that's okay, this is normal. I understand that the United States is a big country that has relations, support, or difficulties with many countries. I am not saying that we are special and crucial to the United States, although I would like that very much. I think, however, that we are very important now for the European part of the world, considering what is going on in Ukraine," he said.
According to Zelensky, Biden has a better understanding of the specific features of relations with Ukraine. "President Biden knows Ukraine better because he has been to Ukraine. It seems to me that he understands 'the Ukraine issue' better. However, we should judge by results. And it will take some time to get a result," he said.
"When the time comes, rest assured, I will say which U.S. president has been better for Ukraine," Zelensky added.

It will never happen.
Very few people in the US even know where Ukraine is, and fewer still have affection for them.
Hey, Zelensky, you’re on your own.
Your fate is as a vassal state of Russia. And has been for 350 years. It’s been 1,000 years since you’ve been a real country.
Is Mr Zalensky’s command of English strong enough to understand the definition of “flexible”? That word certainly brings a smile to Vlad Putin’s face.
QED we have paid all the right US people so we should be protected.
Idiot, the same people are taking money from Russia. It you've never seen the underside of a buss before get ready.
UKRAINE NOT WEAK!
Ukraine will be sold to the highest bidder.
Ukraine is game to you?
Ask shadow President Obama to call in a couple of favors. Easy peasy. Boom- done. Mafioso diplomacy. What’s the problem? Are US laws in the way? Please- nagger!
It’s all theater. Ukraine wants more foreign aid. Putin wants attention. They’ll all get what they want.
Why is Ukraine important to the US? I fail to see any US interest there.
“Why is Ukraine important to the US? I fail to see any US interest there.”
I suppose because Ukraine is important to Russia.
That makes no sense. So we are supporting Ukraine just to mess with Russia? Don’t we have enough of our own problems such as the invasion of our country by a 3rd world horde?
Just keep writing those checks to Hunter, and you’ll be fine.
“...That makes no sense....”
It makes no sense for the US to get involved, but make a lot of sense for the EU and NATO to get very involved for the Ukraine is a close neighbor and a stepping stone for Russia in their direction.
Zelensky has let the CIA and the EU who are the NWO lure him into provocative adventurism as they try to gin up a war with Russia. They have pushed two red button issues that Putin cannot ignore, his military port on the black sea and NATO membership for Ukraine. Now that Putin has taken a defensive posture they have labeled him the aggressor.
Since Putin so far has kept Russia from getting sucked into the vortex Biden’s handlers tried to heighten tensions by ordering two US warships to the Black Sea. Fortunately the Pentagon said no. They are not taking instructions from a frail old commie with senile dementia.
