So... it’d be ok for a private business to exclude Black people from working/shopping there?
I have no problems with this. Private is private.
I wonder if the Jazz takes any federal money?
The Vivint arena was built with private funds
I wondered that as well. Did a brief search and came up empty. Apparently, they are free and clear of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act.
What will a judge say. Does this set a new precedent on allowing governors to decide what’s racist and what’s not?
There were many white jazz musicians or rather there were before history was re-written.
I think you have accurately described the process. Many states have elected Republicans that are way out of step with the people who vote for them
Need to capture this for all the Christian bakers and businesses who are told they cant use their personal money and business as THEY see fit. Right?
My dad/fam guys have lots of oldies from the /30’s to 60’s of white jazz players on vinyl. My fav. now is Dixie Swing like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Tuba Skinny, etc.
A most excellent point! Thank you.
Good assessment.
I believe there are few Black people in Utah................(a Black Republican congressman from Utah). He (the guv) might learn something.
