Who’s ‘recruiting’ him? Some George Soros bunch?
Has anyone signed up yet to run against him in the primary for his congressional seat?
If so, he may just be looking for another office to run for that won’t have much opposition in the primary (because no Republican will win) so he can keep raising money and staying in nice hotels all the way through the general election.
There are big bucks to be had running a losing campaign for governor in the general election. Plus he can then get a job as a token RINO on CNN or MSNBC. OTOH, if he runs for re-election for his congressional seat and gets poured out in the primary his future job prospects will be limited to Wal-Mart greeter.
I understand the best we can get is a RINO in NY but if the GOPlite thinks the base will support someone who voted to impeach Trump they should have their campaign cash.
all he’s missing is someone dumb enough to pay for it.
Why are new yorkers so desperate to have their tax dollars used to make rich corrupt people richer and and corrupter?
The only way Katko gets in is through a rigged election. Democrats won’t vote for him because he is a republican. Most republicans won’t vote for him because he kept sticking Trump in the back.
He is my current congressman. He lost nearly all his support in my area. He is despised almost as much as Cuomo these days.
he’s mexkin?
I would rather Lee stay where he is. A Rep has zero chance of winning Gov here, and the potential exists for a Dem to win Lee’s seat if he is not there to run. Lee has personal popularity in Eastern Suffolk, especially the Forks, but many city dwellers have moved into the South Fork, leaving NYC to escape CCP. A new Rep without Lee’s district wide presence could find winning more difficult.
No Republican is going to win.
I’m not sure which is worse, Illinois or New York’s Republican committee?
Or Christine Todd Whitman. There are plenty from that area.
This guy is nothing but a Democrat with an R behind his name. I live in central NY State in the 22nd district, an hour east of Syracuse which is part of the 24th district he represents. I certainly wouldn’t vote for him.
They never try to run a conservative. We never had a choice.
