Former Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones is set to announce he’s running for governor.
Mr. Jones has been a vocal supporter of former President Trump, who has made sitting Republican Gov. Brian Kemp one of his top targets in the 2022 elections.
Mr. Kemp refuted Mr. Trump’s claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen and that massive voter fraud fueled President Biden’s victory in Georgia.

Kemp now has a primary challenge, Raffensperger has a primary challenge, and Geoff Duncan declined to run for another term.

If there was NO Fraud in the Election, then why is Every Elected Official in the State doing everything humanly possible to PREVENT examining and auditing the VOTE and Ballots???
My gut tells me Vernon Jones has an uphill challenge to defeat Kemp in the primary. Though I will vote for him if for no other reason than I think Jones will win the General. Kemp loses narrowly in the General IMO.

There aren’t too many black governors out there. Uncharted waters. If his opponent is the water buffalo black voters will decide which direction the state will go.

I have said before, the next Governor of GA will more than likely be black. It will be Stacy Abrams (Heaven forbid) or could be Vernon Jones, a redpilled former Dem. now is not the time to hold out for the white guy. Particularly a squish of a white guy who whistled past the graveyard during the election aftermath. A redpilled dem has fire in the belly. Kemp, not so much.
Completely agree! I was a democrat, too. That Peanut Farmer from Georgia cured me of that malady.
Two top of the ticket black candidates (Walker and Jones). Republicans are so color blind! Always going for the best person regardless of color.

Two former Georgia governors Sonny Perdue and Nathan Deal used to be Democrats. You don’t always obtain the most conservative candidate with this approach.
