My Mom has an upcoming doctors appointment and is concerned the doctor will ask her to take the shot and she is afraid to tell him that she doesn’t want too because it’s experimental, that he will cajole her until she does. I said Mom I’ll go with you if you want and she said no. I said just tell him that you are uncomfortable with taking experimental medication at this time, if in a couple of years it shows its safe you will consider taking it. If he persists tell him I have made my decision and you can respect it or I can find a new doctor.
My pastors wife was with her sister a Karen and they walked into a drug store across the street from their work on lunch hour to pick up some items on sale and the pharmacists said ladies we have two J&J shots left have you had the shot yet? No they replied and her sister was eager to get the shot and she had to be talked into it and was reluctant she told me wife. She said twenty minutes after taking it she felt a deep regret, that oh Lord I screwed up. In a few hours she was terribly sick and stayed that way for nearly an entire day. Now she is scared to death of getting blood clots. She regrets the whole thing. To her the shot wasn’t reassuring, it’s like what have I done she told my wife in church Sunday.
