A police union leader has slammed Brooklyn Center's mayor for 'letting political activists run the show' after a white female cop shot dead a black man in the city.
Brian Peters, the head of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, told WCCO-AM radio: 'If I were the mayor, I would not allow the political activists [to] run the show.'
Peters claims Mike Elliott - mayor since January 2019 - is in 'way over his head'.

It would be curious to ask the city...right now on the books...how many juveniles are wanted on arrest warrants (felony-related) who hold an address within the city. If it’s more than twenty...as a resident, I wouldn’t stay there.
I think I could do a better job running that hellhole in Florida than the mayor who lives there... 😀. At least I wouldn’t fire the manager who said to let due process work.

Absolutely CORRECT!
He CAUSED his own death!
Granted, the officer made a yuge MISTAKE, but suspect would not have been shot or tazed had he just complied.
AGAIN, the victim was no saint. He robbed a woman AT GUNPOINT. Just like George Floyd, these brave Black heroes/martyrs both liked to rob women at the point of a gun.
I should weep over their demise?
Is non-compliance justification for the use of deadly force?
Words of sanity, and barely any coverage at all.
Better, if the underlying factors had not prompted the actions which resulted in the warrant which resulted in the police action in the first place, the encounter would likely have never occurred.
