I like McDonalds, but one needs to show judgment in which one you go to. A suburban McD in the daytime? Probably OK. Small town? Probably OK. Near the interstate in a big city, just off MLK Blvd? Maybe time to drive on.
The Mickey D’s on MLK Blvd near the LA Coliseum is a hoot after dark.
I don’t visit McDonalds very often, but the one that I occasionally drive through when shopping is in a very upscale area—the employees are mostly retired folks working there to get out of the house and/or supplement their SS income.
If the employees started to..uh..change, I would not go there.
A few years back I got scammed at a mcdees on an interstate.
Placed my order and was at the first window when a car pulled in ahead of me and behind the car at the 2nd window.
Whoever it was took my order and drove off.
You put that very well. Many FReepers seem not to pick up on the way a particular restaurant location mirrors its demographics.
