As Mary reported earlier, Brooklyn Center, MN, saw a third night of the type of Antifa/BLM-led rioting and looting that occurred with regularity last year in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death.
But as local law enforcement tried in vain to quell the chaos that erupted on city streets in response to the officer-involved shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright, a different kind of chaos involving city leaders was taking place behind the scenes.
Brooklyn Center’s City Manager Curt Boganey, who is black, was out of a job Monday after the City Council voted to fire him. Boganey’s 16-year employment with the city was terminated just a few hours after he publicly expressed disagreement with Mayor Mike Elliott during a press conference where both addressed the shooting:

The fired city manager had the temerity to publicly state that someone accused of a crime has the right to due process....in America.
How dare he.
Weak losers. He will go laughing to the bank out of this.
I would award him 50 million bucks, just for fun.
Seems to me that city managers are just another way for spineless elected politicians to insulate themselves from the problems in their city.
What’s wrong with having a mayor and council make hard decisions?
I understand sometimes, when a city goes broke, they bring in a manager. Other than that... it seems wasteful.

The United States has been paying “Dane-Geld” to far left progressives since the middle 1960s. As Kipling predicted, the situation has only gotten worse, much worse. Most of the Dane-Geld goes into the coffers of the anti-American leftists and cultural Marxists. They have become the enemy funded with our tax dollars.
I have modified Kipling's poem, for a parody which reflects the situation the progressives have placed us in:

It is always a temptation, with Orwellian dictation,
To puff and look important and to say: —
“You are oppressed. White men caused this mess.
We will pay you public cash to go away.”
And that is called paying the Dane-geld;

That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld
You never get rid of the Dane.
It is wrong to put temptation to a youthful population,
For fear they should succumb and go astray;
So when you are requested to pay up or be molested,

And the nation that pays it is lost!”
Who benefits from this the most? America's enemies, particularly the Chinese.
I thought it was the law breaking, insurrectionist, BLM who was supposed to fear LAW ENFORCEMENT and the corresponding legal consequences of their actions?

City Managers have contracts with severance benefits, and that’s what he’ll get. He can be terminated for any reason.
