I was a dishwasher at a major steak house.
Boss would call me in to cook the steaks when they were short.
Pay went up.
I was always the dishwasher. Mon-Fri 8-4.
I washed dished when in HS. $1.55 an hour. Eventually became a busboy, food prep, then started learning short order and all in less than two years age 14-15.
Always had a job in High School. Learned a lot about the work ethic. My bosses were WW-II and Korean war vets.
