I think we are reaching the point where many, if not most, of the big box retail stores will not rebuild in these communities.
Target was dumb enough to rebuild the one they looted/destroyed, smashed every bit of glass, ripped freezer doors off the hinges...but left the food and lit on fire and due to the ongoing riots caused tens or hundreds of thousand of gallons of water from the sprinklers to flood the place.
IIRC, they proudly talked about how they employed black owned business or similar to rebuild, like that’s gonna make a difference.
To add: To the best of my knowledge, I don’t recall the fast food places, auto parts and the smaller chain stores they burned or looted getting rebuilt.
Box stores like Wal-Mart, home depot, target that quickly jumped and contributed to their destroyer cause BLM, f them all. As the weather improves we will see more firey peaceful protests
