Only one slight problem....The only Sabbath mentioned in the bible, blessed and sanctified for holy use, made by our Savior and Creator of the world, is the 7th-day-Sabbath. Any other day kept holy would be an abomination.
This does NOT belong in “News/Activism”. Put it in the “Religion” forum.
Amen.
And anyone worshiping on Sunday is effectively taking the “mark of the beast,” right?
Any other day kept holy would be an abomination.
So then, how do we reconciled the above? Do we have a contradiction in God’s word?
Could it be to focus on the intent of the day of rest?
no, you explain to me the “contradiction”. Not a quick past on what some one else says.
Either read it or don’t. I DON’T CARE ONE WAY OR THE OTHER. However, it does a terrific job of explaining...ready for it?
...that Paul is talking about converts still keeping parts of the CEREMONIAL law in meats (foods) and days/feasts (not the 7th day Sabbath), etc..
The contradiction is your translation. The word holy is not a proper translation from the greek. Also the passage is talking about fasting, not worshiping on Sabbath. BTW, find a scripture where the Ten Commandments were done away with or where Sabbath was changed to sunday.
In all humbleness may I suggest getting a KJV and a Strongs concordance so you can fully understand what those two verses are talking about and what they are saying.
So, don't confuse it with Sunday. Next we will hear how the Disciples hid Easter Eggs for the little kids.
***Having to work on Sunday is bad enough, but Easter?***
Many of us in the REAL WORLD had to work on Saturday and Sunday. That is how your electric system works, 24 hours a day, seven days a week in the power plants.
It was good pay. Regular time plus time and a half. I had no problems working for those who did not want to work that day. Other times I was off on Sunday and in church.
There are those who honor the 7th day of creation.
Today we honor the Sunday Resurrection.
Jeremiah 31:31-34
King James Version
31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Does God close his ears six days a week, opening them ONLY on Saturday? Not hardly.
Come out of her my people...
“There are those who honor the 7th day of creation.
Today we honor the Sunday Resurrection.”
Who told you to replace the Sabbath? Oh yeah, Constantine in the 3rd century. He called it “The venerable day of the Sun”.
Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
4th Commandment-Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
Why do you suppose our God told us to remember the Sabbath? Did He think we would forget?
Christians do not worship a DAY. We worship a risen Savior.

You did not answer any of the questions I posed. If you study scripture long enough and pray for truth you will find it.
Christians do not worship a DAY. We worship a risen Savior.
Our risen Savior is also our Creator and he has given us a commandment to keep the 7th day Sabbath as a memorial to His creative power.
