Such actions will degentrify inner cities as surely as increasing crime rates and homeless encampments. But that may well be the Left's goal: to turn inner cities into “rotten boroughs” easily controlled by leftists with street gangs as muscle. Then the alternative lifestyle liberals, driven out of the inner cities, can move the suburbs leftward and infest rural areas, almost universally conservative outside of New England, nonwhite areas, or resort and college towns.
