The White House announced Wednesday that President Biden will nominate longtime Giffords policy advisor and former ATF agent David Chipman to lead the nation's gun regulatory agency.
Chipman, whose bio submitted to Congress in relation to his role in testifying in support of recent gun control measures, details that he has been with Giffords since 2016, having come to that anti-gun group after previously working for Bloomberg-founded Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Prior to that, he was with the ATF from 1988 to 2012, including running the agency's Asset Forfeiture Program, leading the Detroit Field Division, and serving as "Case agent in [the] Branch Davidian trial" while working in the Waco, Texas, field office.

The ATF had many chances to take Koresh when he went to town. All of those people didn’t have to die. The quick bulldozing of the site was the clue I had that let me know my government was corrupt as hell.

A strong argument can be made based on overhead video included in “Waco-Rules of Engagement” that the Feds machine-gunned Davidians trying to escape out the back of the building.

I agree with you. They had notch marks where snipers where stationed behind the buildings.
Though it was stated by the corner that most of the children where crushed to death. The tank on video rolled back and forth over the plywood roof for 45 minutes where the children where located.

How is that different from neighborhood gossip? I wonder if it's a crime to withhold evidence of child abuse if it isn't just gossip?
To: DesertRhino
It was a sad situation. There’s been a few documentaries with Randy and his grow up children that are pretty good.

In my line of work, I've dealt with a lot of law enforcement. Usually the street cops I've dealt with are honorable people who want to do the right thing. It varies by department, but most aren't Barney Fifes. Some do get overzealous in some areas (college towns especially), but out here where I live (now and where I grew up), the cops leave people alone unless you DUI or speed 10+MPH over the limit.
The feds however? At best, most I've met want scalps while they look for their promotion. The worst are Chipman, Connolly (Whitey Bulger), or Comey types. They all answer to political US Attorneys and their assistants. I got no use for them whatsoever.

If you're not able to observe a family with problems at your local Sam's like Koresh's "neighbors" could, then there is no hope for you, yet you will probably say you can correctly identify the mental illness in a protestor for ANTIFA.
Waco is not a right-wing battle cry... Koresh was a sick child-molester and killed his own followers.
To: TexasGunLover
You have personal first-hand knowledge of child abuse by the adult Davidians?
If so, did you report it?

It was known and reported, thus why CPS was involved.
To: TexasGunLover
Did CPS confirm the abuse?

Do you put a lot of faith in government organizations or observations of common everyday Texans living and interacting with folks on a daily basis?
To: TexasGunLover
“CPS” organizations seem to like to find abuse even where there is none.
That they found no abuse strongly suggests there was none.

I'll take the firsthand accounts of those who escaped the abuse above a government agency.
If you want to hold up David Koresh, just remember that you're deifying him just like the left has George Floyd... and remember that Koresh was directly far more harmful to far more people than Floyd was.
To: TexasGunLover
I’ve seen first-hand accounts of abuse that I know for an ABSOLUTE certainty were TOTALLY specious and fallacious.
Maintaining that David Koresh and the rest of his group were murdered by a rogue government agency is not “deifying” him.
