99.99% of the flights will be fine with pilots that ‘look like the Third World’. The problem is the other 0.01%, where pilots have to do something to keep from crashing. A recent example is the 737 Max, where you had the two crashes by Third World pilots, but none from US pilots (and they did have at least one identical situation that they were able to recover from).
That is because well qualified pilots know how to actually know how to fly a plane. Take it off auto and fly the plane.
