My senator finally responds to me about Dems' transgender mania bill - On April Fools' Day. What did I expect?

In a previous blog post, I commented on the email responses received from both Democrat Virginia senators, Mark Warner and Tim Kaine (2020 V.P. running mate with Hillary). I had sent separate emails urging them to vote no on H.R. 1, the For The People Act of 2021, and against H.R. 5, the Equality Act of 2021. Anyone still capable of critical thinking should realize that H.R. 1 will corrupt all future election results heavily in favor of Dems and H.R. 5 will reopen the bathroom controversy, ruin women's sports, and force Christians and others with strongly held religious beliefs to condone same-sex "marriage" or else.

Last time, I admired Senator Kaine's rapid response and his courage to put his position in writing in a detailed formal return email praising the merits of H.R. 1 (the enabling vote fraud bill) and giving it his full support. Kaine bragged about being a cosponsor of the Senate version of H.R. 1, attempted in 2019, that Mitch McConnell blocked. However, so far I have received no comment from Kaine about H.R. 5 and don't expect one after so much time has passed.

Until this April Fool's Day, Senator Warner had not responded to my opposing email about H.R. 5 (the woke gender equity bill), but it finally came:

While there has been much misinformation about this legislation, the bill aims to prohibit discrimination nationwide by adding sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity to other classes protected by existing federal civil rights laws, such as race and religion.

Hundreds of male inmates in California who identify as female have requested to be transferred to a women’s prison since a new law went into effect on the first of the year allowing them to make that choice.

Last fall, California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation that allows incarcerated “transgender, non-binary and intersex people” to choose if they want to be housed in a male or female prison, according to the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Since the bill took effect on Jan. 1, there have been 261 requests for transfers, the Los Angeles Times reported Monday.

All but six of the requests were for housing at a women’s facility, and no transfer requests have been denied.

These transfer requests have created fear in inmates at the Central California Women’s Facility in Chowchilla, where guards have warned them that “men are coming” and they should expect sexual violence, the Times reported.

Senators Kaine and Warner are honest about who they are and which constituents they care about. Unlike many Republican Senators who run for office and reelection as staunch conservatives and once elected vote moderate too liberal. Remember John McCain in 2016 telling GOP voters in Arizona he would vote to repeal Obamacare. When the vote occurred in July 2017, he proudly turned his vote against repeal into a publicity event. Seven GOP Senators voted to convict Trump. How’s that defunding of Planned Parenthood and PBS going that was promised and didn’t get enacted from January 2017-19 when the GOP had both houses of Congress?

I disagree vehemently with them but Democrats vote their convictions and in line with their voting base. They also hang tough and hold together on key votes. By doing so they achieve their objectives. Voting Republican for over 40 years I’ve been constantly lied to and betrayed as they accommodate and facilitate the agenda of the left while protesting they are fighting hard for me.

When Democrats are in the minority or majority in Congress they are consistently playing hardball offense on every issue. When Republicans are in the majority they play defense. When in the minority they go silent and capitulate. We see it today.
