Amazon has become the first company to endorse Joe Biden's corporate tax hike to pay for its $2 trillion infrastructure plan - despite the online giant being one of the savviest tax strategists in the world.
Jeff Bezos, CEO and founder of the company, and the world's richest man, said in a statement on Tuesday that Biden's plan 'will require concessions from all sides'. He spoke on the day Forbes, for the fourth year running, crowned him the world's richest.
Despite his company's own highly-controversial tax schemes, Bezos said Amazon was 'supportive of a rise in the corporate tax rate,' and called the plan 'a bold investment in American infrastructure'.

Bezos has more money than he can ever spend.
So of course he can afford to virtue-signal.
Let’s see if Musk says anything. So far Musk seems to be very anti big gov. He got some of his riches with gov contracts and so on, but lately he seems to be a real winner.
The fools can’t see Bammy is still wrecking the economy. From behind the scenes.
Because, mean tweets and stuff.
Just wait to see the stunned look on the faces of those wondering what happened.
The driver left the box with the $315 billion on the back porch of the Treasury, here's the photo, how was the delivery?
>> So far Musk seems to be very anti big gov.
Yea, he is so anti-gov that he had to hold his nose while he takes his billions and billions of taxpayer hand-outs and subsidies.
Yes, he got a lot of subsidies with Tesla. But I remember working at TI when they got about the same, then sold the defense division to Raytheon.
For the most part, since then, he’s not going too much big gov and more towards private.
He likes that it raises taxes on his competition.
And all of these billionaire globalists believe YOU don’t pay enough in taxes.
Working at Amazon is absolutely brutal for Americans.
While Bezos reserves all the white-collar Amazon work to H1B Indian trash or his brand-new software development center in India.
They ripped apart a 3/4 mile of forest full of deer and other critters and now an Amazon fulfillment center stands there.
When I drive by at dusk, I’ve seen lonely, confused deer just standing there in the barren muddy wasteland beside of it, wondering what the hell happened to their home.
Many of them have tried to find somewhere else to live and wound up run over in the streets in the middle of town.
I have no idea where the enormous murder of nesting crows will summer, now.
I hate this.
There’s yet another just south of here in WV, and when they made that one, they just stuck it in a pasture that was already there and unhomed very little.
This one, they destroyed an entire, wonderful forest in the middle of town.
That is sad. There are deer, here. Suburbs. There are some woods and a lake not far off (a couple of lakes).
Some of them find their way into this noise and concrete. It’s a shame.
It's now at least a half mile long
There's yet another one in the north end...but at least it was also pasture.
Bizarrely, on the messed up road they're constructing, people died in a car accident.
More blood for Moloch
I proposed on some work to look at 6 locations in one town. They were going to build large buildings at each location. But they weren’t “fullfillment centers” (warehouses).
They were server farms. Huge buildings crammed full of computers to keep track of orders, shipments and who-knows what.
Musk has personally paid more in taxes than Tesla got in subsidies/etc.
If you’re gonna complain, whine about the politicians who gave him that money. He’d be stupid to turn it down.
Amazon’s biggest business is renting out computers. Server farms are very profitable.
>>Musk has personally paid more in taxes than Tesla got in subsidies/etc.If you’re gonna complain, whine about the politicians who gave him that money.
The politicians didn’t ‘give it to him’, his various companies actively solicited it, often by pitting one state against the other to get the most taxpayer funded welfare into his pocket.
The guy moves out of California so that he can pay less taxes, and yet has both his hands out for government freebies whenever he can get them
He doesn’t *need* the money is the point, so in my mind he is no better than someone who is capable of working full-time, but instead relies on welfare of a different kind, or someone who makes a high six figure salary and then goes down to the local food bank to get ‘no questions asked’ free groceries - after all, its not illegal, so why would anyone have a problem with it.
Why wait for the law...send it in now. Virtue signal even bigger!
Time to encourage unionizing of Amazon. Let Bezos fight the right and left.
