I could have missed something but two of these vacant districts are solid GOP (or did I miss a special election?)
Two are solid DemoKKKrat. Are the remaining two truly open?
Another reason why not caving on the Miller Meeks seat was so important.
Louisiana 5th and Louisiana 2nd have been held with the GOP and the Democrats each taking one. Texas 6th is red while the New Mexico 1st, Florida 20th and Ohio 11th are pretty solid blue. Interestingly enough the special for the Ohio 11th is next November.
6 vacancies as said. 4 are in Dem districts (Cedric Richmond-LA; Fudge-OH; Haaland-NM; Hastings-FL), 2 in GOP districts (Letlow-LA; Wright-TX). The Letlow seat special has already occurred, won by the widow, but she apparently has yet to be sworn in despite the election having taken place 17 days ago back on March 20th. So this should technically be 5 vacancies with a member-elect not having been sworn-in.
Of the Dem seats, only the Haaland one in NM has the most remote chance of a Republican winning in a special. The other 3 are Black Voting Rights Act districts gerrymandered for a Black Dem.
